As I sit at my desk, staring at my computer, I can't help but wonder about how far robots had progressed in the twenty-first century. A decade ago robots were clumsy-clunky devices that could barely perform a simple task, but now they have exceptional capabilities. Robots have come a long way since their first creation, evolving over the decades and becoming more advanced, inhabiting capabilities that are almost human-like. Robots have transitioned from simple machines designed to perform simple repetitive tasks in factories into complex devices that have the capability to mimick human behaviour in a variety of ways.
I've had an enjoyable experience with the evolution of robotics thus far as it comes with many benefits and convenience. My first hand experience with this would be through the use of my vacuum cleaner. This has assisted me in keeping my space clean and tidy without having to do to much physical, hard labour. Another example of how robotics had vastly evolved is Robotic assistants such as Amazon's Alexa and Google Home, proven to be important tools for many individuals, assisting them in doing routine activities with ease. These gadgets are capable of playing music, setting reminders, answering queries, and even ordering groceries. They are always willing to assist you and may even understand your preferences and habits to make your life simpler.
A careless drone pilot crashed into her neighbor's pool after attempting to fly it over her while she was sunbathing. Guess who?...You're right, It's ME!, but this is another prime example of how robots have evolved. Drones are used in many convenient ways, but I was unlucky this one time when I tried to operate it before an in-depth reading on the instructions. Drones are now utilized to transport packages, survey and inspect structures, support search and rescue missions, collect aerial images for movies and television shows, monitor trees and planting, and photography for real estate and tourism purposes.
Robot technology has evolved since the 1920s, primarily to perform repetitive tasks
in manufacturing. The development of programmable computers in
the 1950s and 1960s saw the birth of more specific automated
robots for a variety of tasks. The development of
microprocessors enabled robots to perform
more complex tasks in
the 1970s and 1980s. Service robots emerged in
the 1990s to interact closely with humans in
various industries . Unmanned, autonomous robots
emerged in the 21st century, with the advent of artificial
intelligence giving them new capabilities to work with
humans. Future developments and scientific research
in the field of robotics
technology can bring new advancements to improve human life.
